Patricia Urquiola’s newest creation for Flos is a modular pendant system inspired by the almond (“almendra” in Spanish). Made of bioplastic sourced from a byproduct of paper production, Almendra is designed to reduce its environmental impact to a minimum. Assembled without glued components so it can be completely separated from easy recycling. The color palette of this LED pendant evokes the leaves, flowers, branches and shell of the almond tree.
Available in three styles: organic, arch and linear. The modular, shell-like diffusers can be positioned upwards or downward for different types of light from the same lamp.
